Proposal PhD: Framework of Artificial Intelligence Energy Management in Institutional of Higher Education (IOHE) in Malaysia Perspective



Kali ini posting aku berkaitan kertas cadangan PhD aku dalam AI dan juga Energy Management. Sebolehnya aku nak cari satu kajian atau topik yang uptrend dan mudah untuk dapatkan maklumat, data dan akses. Fikir punya fikir dapatlah topik berkaitan dengan kerjaya aku dan juga minat aku iaitu Energy Management, cuma yang baru pada aku perkataan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Tapi apa ada hal, maklumat dan ilmu boleh kita cari dan perolehi dari pelbagai sumber, nak dengan tak nak buat je

Aku punya WEAKNESS aku ialah menulis dan mengolah ayat tak kira dalam BM ke BI ke? Untuk aku huraikan sesuatu perkara memang agak kaku dan juga mengambil masa lama. Tapi STRENGTH aku ialah semanagat untuk aku lalui proses dan juga aura-aura positif yang ada di keliling aku. Pada mulanya aku untuk menulis kertas cadangan PhD, perkara pertama aku perlu buat ialah template. Puas aku Google cari berkaitan template dan macam-macam versi keluar dan makin serabut pulak nak ikut yang mana satu

Last, aku recce dari kawan aku nak tau macam format UPSI punya. Kadang-kadang kita cari punya merata tapi kita tak sedar yang depan mata dah tersedia untuk kita gunakan. Macam itulah dulu aku punya fikir dan analisa mana universiti yang best untuk aku sambung, tapi rupanya universiti yang aku bekerja ini ada ruang dan peluang untuk aku lalui proses PhD ini. Orang kata kita selalu sangat berfikir sampai merumitkan keadaan sehingga kita tak jumpa jalan keluar

3.0   Background
The energy policy of Malaysia is determined by the Malaysian Government which address issues production, distribution and consumption. The Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) acts as the regulator while other players in the energy sector include energy supply and Service Company, research, and development institution, and consumers.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a very simplified explanation is adaptive computer systems that through dynamic learning can adjust automatically without human aid to perform tasks far quicker and more efficiently than humans alone will be ever capable of. The role of AI not just in the energy sector but in general is to develop systems that can take all the things that humans are good at and combine them with things computers do best
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been area of active research for many decades, with a central theme of producing machines that have intelligence. For example the mathematician Alan Turing was involved in the development of Manchester mark I computer and in the question how to judge the intelligence of a machine. His speculation on the latter led to which is now called the “Turing Test”. Knowledge-based systems have found their way into many application domains such as medicine, law, geographical mappings to name a few.
The example application domains of knowledge-based system/expert system application is legal support system, prediction and forecasting, power system planning, railway route planning, financial accounting, computer-aided design, equipment configuration, crisis management, a scheduling application, scheduling railway crew assignment, planning and design in manufacturing etc.
A method and system are provided for auditing, monitoring and controlling the energy consumption within the utility. Energy consumption data is obtained from a series of modules monitoring and controlling a variety of physical conditions such as ambient light, temperature, pressure, air velocity, cooling and heating, and devices. These modules transmit energy consumption and physical conditions data over a wireless personal area network (WPAN) through a transceiver. A central control station obtains the energy consumption data and stores it in an energy management solution to reduce energy consumption and costs by applying ruled based artificial intelligence to the stored energy consumption data in conjunction with information from the internet. In one embodiment the energy management solution can automatically control devices to effectively conserve energy

4.0   Objective of Study
4.1   to study different types of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning
4.2   to determine how Artificial Intelligence can be integrated into management and control of energy efficiency
4.3   to define the association between Artificial Intelligence and Energy Management
4.4   To clarify some of the benefits and challenges of adopting Artificial Intelligence in Energy Management.

5.0   Methodology of Study
The research will use quantitative data which aid in the examination of the secondary collected data that can only be collected in numerical form. The qualitative analysis will be important to gather the information that involves the people's opinions and the interpretation of different phenomena (Jha, 2008). The research design clasps the positivism proposition thus, the researcher gets incessant data from the secondary and primary data.

Random sampling will be used to help in developing discussion for the users hence effectiveness in understanding various variables used. The main source of data for this study will be secondary data from various journals, books, magazines, and articles

The qualitative and quantitative analysis will be used after an efficient collection of data. The statistic will also be abridged to plaid its uniformly, accuracy, consistency and completeness and arranged to enable the coding process (Kothari, 2004). These thus enhance accuracy and eliminate errors as well as biases which might accrue during data analysis. The analysis of the secondary data will ensure that there is a valid evidence of how Artificial Intelligence influences energy management and control
During the research process, the researcher will ensure that the guidelines as per data collection, analysis and interpretations are adhered to without a compromise
